Wellington NAATI Translation Services
Wellington, the capital of New Zealand, sits near the North Island’s southernmost point on the Cook Strait. A compact city, it encompasses a waterfront promenade, sandy beaches, a working harbour and colourful timber houses on surrounding hills. From Lambton Quay, the iconic red Wellington Cable Car heads to the Wellington Botanic Gardens. Strong winds through the Cook Strait give it the nickname "Windy Wellington."

About the Swedish Language
Swedish is a North Germanic language, spoken by approximately 10 million people, predominantly in Sweden and parts of Finland, especially along its coast and on the Åland islands. It is largely mutually intelligible with Norwegian and Danish (see Classification). Along with the other North Germanic languages, Swedish is a descendant of Old Norse, the common language of the Germanic peoples living in Scandinavia during the Viking Era. It is currently the largest of the North Germanic languages by numbers of speakers.
Swedish Community in Australia
Sweden's community in Australia is small, professional, and transient by international standards. Most Swedish nationals in Australia are here through skilled visa streams, international business postings (Swedish multinationals including IKEA, Volvo, SKF, and H&M have operations in Australia), or through Australian partner relationships. The community does not have the same established migrant settlement arc as Southern and Eastern European communities — Sweden's high standard of living limits emigration push factors considerably. Translation requests from Swedish speakers are predominantly commercial: contracts, corporate documentation, technical specifications, and professional qualifications. NAATI-certified Swedish translation for immigration documents is less common, though partner and family visas do generate some civil document translation work. Swedish uses Latin script with three additional characters — å, ä, ö — shared with Danish and Norwegian. It is a North Germanic language, most closely related to Norwegian (particularly Norwegian Bokmål), and Danish. Sweden is an EU member and Hague Apostille Convention signatory; Swedish civil records are maintained by the Swedish Tax Agency (Skatteverket) through a population register that includes comprehensive civil status information.
